Community organizations and project leaders across Pioneer Connect’s service territory have through the end of August to apply for grants of up to $5,000 through a partnership between the local telecommunications cooperative and The Foundation for Rural Service.
The Community Grant program targets projects from the Mid-Willamette Valley to the Central Oregon Coast and focuses on four key areas — business and economic development, community development, education and telecommunications applications.
Under the partnership structure, Pioneer Connect will contribute 10% of each grant award and serve as the sponsor working with The Foundation for Rural Service. Grant recipients will be announced later this year.
In 2023, Philomath High School Robotics and Engineering Division (PHRED) received funding through the initiative.
Organizations interested in applying can find more information and submit applications online. All applications must be received by Aug. 31.
