The Philomath High School girls tennis team won all seven of its matches in straight sets at home Thursday against North Marion. Four matches were won by 6-0, 6-0 margins.

Singles winners for the Warriors included Lucy King (6-0, 6-0), Lucy Thomas (6-0, 6-0) and Maggie Real (6-2, 6-1). Doubles winners were Clara Neville and Maggie King (6-2, 6-2), Lacey Bacho and Lizzie Workman (6-4, 6-1), Bethany Cannon and Bella Nuñez (6-0, 6-0) and Logan Cook and Ella Hammonds (6-0, 6-0).

There was no match played at No. 1 singles.

The boys also played North Marion with the matchup taking place in Aurora. The Huskies took a 5-0 victory with three singles and two doubles matches played.

Philomath’s tennis teams are scheduled to play Tuesday against Estacada — the girls at home and the boys on the road.
