The Philomath High boys golf team tied for sixth place among the 13 schools competing Monday in a meet at Shadow Hills Country Club in Junction City.

Senior Hudson Raab had a top-20 showing individually by finishing 18th with a round of 95. Senior Caleb Russell, senior Logan Matthews and senior Silas Pittman were the team’s top four golfers and contributors to the team score. Russell shot a 101, Matthews a 102 and Pittman a 106. Senior Elijah Bush also played varsity and finished with a 114.

Junction City won on its home court with a team score of 362, which edged North Bend’s 364. Individually, North Bend senior Owen Bascom won by 10 strokes with a three-over par 75.

The team’s next appearance is scheduled for April 22 at the Trysting Tree Invitational.
