Philomath High School’s History of Change class will be offering a “pop-up thrift shop” on Wednesday, June 8 to raise money for a designated nonprofit organization.
The event will run from 3:15 to 6 p.m. in the high school’s community conference room, which is located across the ball from the main office.
All proceeds will go to Re/make, a global advocacy organization with a mission to get women in the clothing industry paid fairly and to help fight climate change.
Organizers said all extra clothes that are not purchased will be donated to help those experiencing homelessness.
Editor’s Note: The pop-up thrift shop’s organizers decided Wednesday to add a second day for their event. The shop will also run 3:15-6 p.m. Thursday. New items will be available and some items will be reduced in price.
