The Philomath High School boys soccer team won its second straight with a 3-0 victory Tuesday evening at Sweet Home.
Coach Dave Ellis said the Warriors dominated the game but struggled to score.
Sophomore Jacob Hernandez opened the scoring for Philomath with a goal in the 30th minute off a corner kick by freshman Sammy Hernandez. That 1-0 advantage held up through halftime.
In the second half, sophomore Esias Sapp scored in the 56th minute and junior Zach Grapoli found the net in the 69th minute.
The Warriors will play their next game at home with a 3:30 p.m. Thursday matchup against Oregon West leader and No. 1-ranked Stayton. The Eagles come in with a 9-0 record, which includes a 4-0 win over Philomath on Oct. 1.
