Philomath High senior Roman Robins tied for eighth place individually and the Warriors finished sixth as a team at a boys golf league match Monday at Langdon Farms Golf Club in Aurora.
Robins shot par on five of his first nine holes on his way to an 89 (42-47). He tied for eighth with Newport sophomore Jax Sampson.
Cascade ran away with the team title, shooting 328 as a team. North Marion took second at 363, followed by Sweet Home (369), Newport (377), Stayton (404) and Philomath (430).
Cascade freshman Garrett Wells was the individual medalist with a 78, one stroke ahead of junior teammate Grant Hemelstrand and two strokes ahead of Sweet Home junior Trent Harvey.
Behind Robins for Philomath, junior Jamin Peters carded a 103 (55-48) to place 23rd, freshman Conrad Yates shot 109 (53-56) for 26th, sophomore Avery Petrovich shot 129 (67-62) for 28th and junior Lane Bettencourt shot 137 (69-68) for 30th.
The Warriors return to action Thursday at Santiam Golf Club in Aumsville.
