Philomath High School graduate Elise Reese, a member of the Linfield University women’s tennis team, has been named a 2026 Intercollegiate Tennis Association scholar-athlete, the school announced.
Reese, who graduated with the PHS Class of 2024, earned the honor after completing her sophomore season with a grade point average of at least 3.50. She is majoring in nursing at Linfield.
Reese, daughter of Amber and Ted Reese, was one of five Wildcats to reach the grade point average threshold, helping the team earn an ITA all-academic team honor for maintaining a 3.41 team GPA.
Linfield women’s tennis, based in McMinnville, returns a full roster this fall and is slated to serve as a partial host for the ITA fall championships in September.
