The Philomath High School boys golf team saw four of its five varsity athletes finish within 10 strokes of one another in a meet Tuesday at Tokatee Golf Club in Blue River.

Senior Logan Matthews led the Warriors with 45s on both the front and back nine for a 90 total. Senior Elijah Bush was next with a 94, then senior Hudson Raab with a 98 and senior Silas Pittman with a 100. The four scores went toward the team score of 382, which tied Philomath for seventh place with Sweet Home.

Junior Roman Robins filled the fifth slot on the varsity and came in with a 118.

Brookings-Harbor’s Lucas Vanderlip won the tournament with a 1-under par 71. Marist Catholic was first in the team standings with 331. Eleven schools had full squads at the event.

Philomath is scheduled to play against Thursday at an invitational at Langdon Farms Golf Club in Aurora.
