The Philomath School District is asking the community to participate in a survey with the results to help guide the development of its next strategic plan, Superintendent of Schools Susan Halliday said.
“Whether you are a student, parent, staff member or community member, your insights will help us better understand what is working well and where we have opportunities to grow,” Halliday wrote through an email. “The survey includes a short set of questions tailored to your role, and concludes with two open-ended prompts where you can share your hopes, ideas and concerns for our schools.”
The two open-ended questions are “What is going well in the Philomath School District and should be built on or continued?” and “What could the Philomath School District do better?”
Other survey questions cover topics such as student support, safety, communication and opportunities.
Halliday said feedback from the public helps the district set priorities for the years ahead in a process that involves collaboration with the Oregon School Boards Association.
