The Philomath School Board will meet Monday, March 14 for an agenda that includes discussion of the Kings Valley Charter School agreement and a further look at how to proceed with placing a local option levy renewal on the ballot. The board members will meet in the school district office’s conference room beginning at 7 p.m.

Agenda items that will require board action include adoption of a language arts program at Philomath Middle School and bid approvals for a new boiler at Philomath High School and a covered play shed at Clemens Primary School.

Licensed teacher renewals, various policy readings and other routine matters are also planned for the meeting.

The PSD office is located at 1620 Applegate St., with access to the meeting through a door at the back of the building. Meetings are also live-streamed on the school district’s YouTube channel.

Prior to the regular meeting at 6 p.m., the School Board will meet in executive session for discussion topics allowed under state statute — labor negotiations and to review and evaluate the employment-related performance of district employees. Executive sessions are closed to the public.
