The Philomath School Board will hold its first meeting of the new fiscal year on Wednesday, July 13, at the school district office to choose its officers and take care of some other routine matters.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. For those who want to attend, enter the district office building through a door situated at the back of the building.
The agenda includes the election of a board chair and vice chair, annual designations, a board vacancy declaration and a possible vote on a negotiated agreement with the local Oregon School Employees Association union members.
The meeting also will be available to watch through the board’s YouTube channel.
Prior to the regular meeting, board members are scheduled to meet in executive session beginning at 5:30 p.m. under three statues allowed by law — to hear a complaint brought against an employee, to consider information of records that are exempt by law from public inspection and to review and evaluate the employment-related performance of district employees.
Executive sessions are closed to the public.
