A Clemens Community Pool update, an equity team’s report on bias incidents and a strategic plan discussion are among the items on the agenda for Thursday’s Philomath School Board’s meeting. The regular meeting is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at Philomath High School in the Community Conference Room.

According to the published agenda, the board is scheduled to vote on various issues that include the Oregon School Boards Association election, superintendent’s goals, a Budget Committee appointment, a cooperative agreement with Alsea for wrestling and a public complaint. Five policy updates will also come before the board for a vote.

An informational program will feature media specialist Rachel Baker on library media services and middle school principal Steve Bell on the talented and gifted program.

Also at the meeting, time is set aside for reports from the superintendent, business manager, student government and employee associations. Citizens can address the board during a public comment period that occurs near the beginning of the meeting.

Prior to the regular meeting, there will be an executive session to begin at 5:30 p.m. as allowed by state statute. Executive sessions are closed to the public.

A joint work session with Kings Valley Charter School’s board will then begin at 6 p.m. to discuss various topics, including organizational structure, an OSBA audit and the status of special education changes.

The Community Conference Room is located to the right inside the high school’s front entrance. Meetings are also streamed on the school district’s YouTube channel.
