The Philomath School Board plans to convene for its regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Philomath High School Community Conference Room.

Board members plan to review Integrated Guidance and Division 22 Assurances, both key components of state education compliance and planning.

Integrated Guidance is a state initiative by the Oregon Department of Education to streamline and align state and federal grant programs, such as the Student Investment Account. Division 22 Assurances refer to a set of state-mandated rules for curriculum, instruction, human resources and other school operations, with which school districts must report their compliance annually to ODE.

Following an announcement Tuesday night by board member Erin Gudge that she has stepped down as board chair, a new board chair and vice chair will be chosen at the meeting.

Also, student representatives will be sworn in and the board will listen to reports from the superintendent, business manager, student government and the associations.  The agenda also includes an update on Clemens Community Pool along with various other discussion items.

Prior to the regular meeting, there will be a work session beginning at 6 p.m. Topics include the superintendent’s measurable goals and public and media communication guidelines.

The Community Conference Room is located to the right inside the high school’s front entrance. Meetings are also streamed on the school district’s YouTube channel.
