The Philomath Rotary Club invites the public to a presentation on scam and fraud protection at noon Tuesday, May 30, at Peace Lutheran Church.
Two representatives from the Oregon Department of Consumer and Business Services, a consumer protection and business regulatory agency, will be on to share information and answer questions. Leading the program will be Karla Martinez, consumer liaison, and Maggie Alvarez, financial education and outreach coordinator — both with the department’s Division of Financial Regulations.
The presentation will cover the scope of scams and trends, identifying and reporting scams and covering from scams and fraud.
