DAILY REPORTS
FRIDAY, SEPT. 27
• 8:47 a.m. — Police took a 42-year-old Philomath woman into custody following an incident near Pioneer Street and North 12th Street involving the individual standing in the street naked and forcing vehicles to swerve around her. Upon seeing police, the woman ran away but was eventually arrested for a mental hold and taken to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis for a mental evaluation.
• 11:36 a.m. — Police responded to a report of the theft of a “Harris/Walz 2024” political sign from a front yard in the 1400 block of College Street. The sign was reportedly taken sometime at night on Sept. 20.
• 1:04 p.m. — Police responded to a report of forgery involving a golf cart listed for sale. A Philomath woman saw the item listed on Facebook and believed the post was by a friend who lives in town. Through Facebook Messenger, arrangements were made for a $2,000 payment to occur using Venmo for the purchase. When the victim went to pick up the golf cart, she learned that her friend did not have any items listed for sale. The friend’s social media account had been hacked by another user.
Other calls: Police responses included a mental health situation at 1:49 a.m. (Applegate Street), noise disturbance at 6:24 a.m. (Applegate Street), suspicious person at 7:53 a.m. (Applegate Street), harassment at 1:44 p.m. (South 16th Street), animal complaint at 3:36 p.m. (North 17th Street), and an argument at 4:07 p.m. (Applegate Street. PPD reported no traffic stops.
SATURDAY, SEPT. 28
• No calls of significance were reported.
Other calls: Police responses included a juvenile complaint at 4:12 a.m. (Applegate Street), dog at large at 9:16 a.m. (North 14th Street), assault at 9:41 a.m. (Applegate Street), civil dispute report at 11:46 a.m. (South 20th Street), dog at large at 12:07 p.m. (Chapel Drive), found dog at 4:16 p.m. (North Seventh Street and Main Street) and citizen contact at 9:45 p.m. (South 11th Street). PPD reported four traffic stops.
SUNDAY, SEPT. 29
• No calls of significance were reported.
Other calls: Police responses included a suspicious person at 3:04 a.m. (South 26th Street) and threats at 3:47 p.m. (Main Street). PPD reported eight traffic stops.
MONDAY, SEPT. 30
• 7:33 a.m. — Police responded to a report of theft from a location in the 2000 block of Applegate Street of a battery from a dump trailer valued at $200.
• 3:51 p.m. — Police responded to a report of fraud in the 200 block of South 16th Street. No other details were made available other than a report was taken and assigned a case number.
• 10:03 p.m. — Police executed a warrant in the 5200 block of Southwest Philomath Boulevard, Corvallis. No other information on a possible arrest was reported.
Other calls: Police responses included a welfare check at 11:49 a.m. (College Street), found dog at 11:52 a.m. (South 16th Street), hit-and-run at 1:13 p.m. (Pioneer Street), noise disturbance at 2:28 p.m. (North 12th Street), suspicious person at 3:16 p.m. (Applegate Street) and an argument at 5:38 p.m. (South 17th Street). PPD reported 10 traffic stops.
TUESDAY, OCT. 1
• 1:11 p.m. — Police responded to a report of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in the 1700 block of Main Street. No other information was reported.
• 4:50 p.m. — Police responded to a crash in the 24700 block of Highway 20/34. No injuries were reported.
Other calls: Police responses included a suspicious person at 1:53 p.m. (Clemens Mill Road). PPD reported four traffic stops.
WEDNESDAY, OCT. 2
• 7:58 a.m. — Police responded to a crash in the 500 block of Applegate Street. No injuries were reported.
• 3:54 p.m. — Police responded to a report of disorderly conduct and trespassed a woman from an apartment complex after yelling in the parking lot at tenants.
• 4:21 p.m. — Police assisted at the scene of a two-vehicle crash on Highway 20 near Priest Road. One driver was treated for a minor injury.
• 4:42 p.m. — Police responded to a report of fraud in the 1100 block of Applegate Street. No other details were made available other than a report was taken and assigned a case number.
• 8:48 p.m. — Police took a 33-year-old man (city of residence not reported) into custody on a mental hold.
Other calls: Police responses included property found at 11:27 a.m. (Applegate Street) and trespassing at 5:47 p.m. (Southwood Drive). In addition, police assisted other agencies on calls at 2:49 p.m. (North Seventh Street), 5:29 p.m. (South 14th Street) and 11:29 p.m. (Fircreek Lane). PPD reported one traffic stop.
THURSDAY, OCT. 3
• 2:28 p.m. — Police responded to a crash at Southwest Philomath Boulevard and Southwest 53rd Street, Corvallis. No injuries were reported.
• 6:35 p.m. — Police arrested a 23-year-old Corvallis man on a warrant out of Benton County Circuit Court in the 6100 block of Southwest Philomath Boulevard, Corvallis, for failure to appear on second-degree theft and possession of a burglary tool or theft device charges.
Other calls: Police responses included a mental health situation at 3:15 a.m. and 5:02 a.m. (Applegate Street), welfare check at 9:57 a.m. (Newton Street), dog complaint at 11:45 a.m. (Cedar Place), parking complaint at 1:32 p.m. (Richard Place), suspicious person at 7:13 p.m. (South 17th Street) and a suspicious person at 7:48 p.m. (Grant Street). PPD reported one traffic stop.
