The status of incidents might change after further investigation. Locations are approximate and may not be included if it could identify victims of certain crimes of a sensitive nature (sexual abuse, stalking, etc.). Individuals are identified in the log only if arrested on felony charges. Calls that involve the Department of Human Services and minor children are not included. Juveniles are not identified. FRIDAY, JULY 10
• 1:37 p.m. — Police responded to a report of the possible theft of three packages in the 1400 block of Applegate Street. The individual later said the packages had been found.
Other calls: Police responses included a city ordinance violation involving parking at 8:51 a.m. (Applegate Street), city ordinance violation involving parking at 8:55 a.m. (Applegate Street), city ordinance violation involving parking at 9:04 a.m. (Applegate Street), non-911 issue at 9:32 a.m. (Newton Place), city ordinance violation involving a porch swing near the sidewalk at 2:13 p.m. (Pioneer Street and Amethyst Avenue), dog barking at 5:12 p.m. (North 11th Street), unsecured gate at city’s water treatment plant at 8:12 p.m. (South Ninth Street), foot patrol at 8:28 p.m. (South 13th Street), fireworks complaint at 10 p.m. (Pioneer Street), fireworks complaint at 10:16 p.m. (South 15th Street) and a fireworks complaint at 10:48 p.m. (Newton Street and South 26th Street). In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at 11:17 p.m. (Applegate Street and South 15th Street). PPD reported 22 traffic stops.
SATURDAY, JULY 11
• 5:11 p.m. — Police responded to a crash in the 500 block of South 13th Street. No injuries were reported in what turned out to be a fender bender.
• 8:12 p.m. — Police escorted three individuals out of the Philomath Frolic and Rodeo for sneaking alcohol into the venue. The individuals were advised that they had been trespassed from the property.
• 11:56 p.m. — Police arrested a 20-year-old Philomath man in the 500 block of South 13th Street on misdemeanor charges of second-degree disorderly conduct and misrepresentation of age by a minor.
Other calls: Police responses included response to possible threats that had been made at 12:04 a.m. (South 13th Street), noise disturbance at 12:30 a.m. (Main Street), extra patrol at 1:38 a.m. (South 23rd Street), found property (baby wagon) at 11:39 a.m. (North 15th Street and Main Street) and a foot patrol at 7:23 p.m. (South 13th Street). In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at 11:35 p.m. (Main Street and North 17th Street). PPD reported 45 traffic stops.
SUNDAY, JULY 12
• 8:46 p.m. — Police arrested a 55-year-old Philomath woman in the 100 block of Main Street on a warrant out of Albany Municipal Court. The woman was cited and released.
• 9:11 p.m. — Police arrested a 45-year-old Philomath woman in the 100 block of North 13th Street on warrants out of Philomath Municipal Court and Linn County Circuit Court. The woman was cited and released.
• 9:29 p.m. — Police arrested a 36-year-old Philomath man in the 100 block of North 13th Street on a warrant out of Lebanon Municipal Court. The man was cited and released.
Other calls: Police responses included a juvenile complaint at 1 a.m. (Newton Street) and a noise disturbance at 2:08 a.m. (North 14th Street). PPD reported five traffic stops.
MONDAY, JULY 13
• 9:03 a.m. — Police arrested a 47-year-old Philomath man in the 900 block of Applegate Street on a contempt-of-court charge out of Philomath Municipal Court.
• 10:53 a.m. — Police responded to a crash at Applegate Street and South Ninth Street. No injuries were reported.
• 10:56 a.m. — Police responded to a crash at South 15th Street and Cedar Street involving a motorcycle crash. According to a report on the incident, the motorcycle operator hit the curb while making a turn and crashed onto a sidewalk. The man reportedly walked away limping. Police determined the motorcycle was registered to an owner out of Salem. Police searched but were not able to find the motorcycle’s operator.
• 1:33 p.m. — Police responded to a report of a bad check situation involving a 19-year-old male victim. The man reported that he cashed a check for an 18-year-old woman that he had known only for a few weeks. The woman got the cash and a few days later, the man’s bank returned the check due to nonsufficient funds. The man reported that he lost the amount of the check plus the bank fee.
• 2:25 p.m. — Police responded to a report of a violation of a stalking protection order involving a man who had contacted a woman through text messages.
Other calls: PPD reported five traffic stops.
TUESDAY, JULY 14
• No calls of significance were reported.
Other calls: Police responses included a non-911 issue at 11:21 a.m. (North 19th Street). PPD reported six traffic stops.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 15
• 5:58 p.m. — Police arrested a 53-year-old Corvallis man on misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants and unlawful possession of methamphetamine during a traffic stop at North Seventh Street and College Street.
Other calls: Police responses included a parking complaint at 9:27 a.m. (Applegate Street) and an abandoned motorcycle at 3:06 p.m. (South 15th Street and Cedar Street). PPD reported four traffic stops.
THURSDAY, JULY 16
• No calls of significance were reported.
Other calls: Police responses included an allegation of theft at 1:14 p.m. (Main Street), non-911 issue at 3:10 p.m. (North 12th Street) and a noise disturbance at 7:39 p.m. (Main Street). In addition, police assisted other agencies on calls at 7:55 a.m. (Main Street) and 9:59 p.m. (Columbine Drive and Finch Lane). PPD reported two traffic stops.
