THURSDAY, MAY 22
• 7:57 a.m. — Police responded to a report of reckless driving in the 3100 block of Applegate Street. The man reported that he was threatened after a potential road rage incident. Police determined that the threat that had been described did not rise to the level of a crime.
Other calls: Police responses included a city ordinance violation at 6:07 p.m. (Adelaide Drive), juvenile issue at 6:09 p.m. (North 19th Street) and a domestic disturbance at 8:59 p.m. (Main Street). PPD reported two traffic stops.
FRIDAY, MAY 23
• 3:03 p.m. — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash in the 2300 block of Main Street involving a log truck and another vehicle. No injuries were reported and the drivers exchanged information.
• 7:32 p.m. — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at South 19th Street and Main Street. No injuries were reported and both vehicles appeared to have minimal damage.
Other calls: Police responses included an extra patrol at 1:20 a.m. (North 19th Street) and a suspicious vehicle at 2:52 a.m. (South 15th Street). PPD reported six traffic stops.
SATURDAY, MAY 24
• 7:59 p.m. — Police arrested a 34-year-old Philomath man on misdemeanor charges of harassment with domestic violence and first-degree criminal mischief during a response to a residence on Newton Street.
Other calls: Police responses included a non-911 issue at 7:52 a.m. (Applegate Street), dog barking at 9:05 a.m. (Adelaide Drive), animal complaint at 9:35 a.m. (South 16th Street), dog at large at 10:39 a.m. (Newton Street), dog complaint at 10:41 a.m. (Quail Glenn Drive and Grouse Place), mental health issue at 11:43 a.m., dog at large at 2:59 p.m. (South 11th Street) and a dog at large at 3:06 p.m. (Chapel Drive and South 15th Street). PPD reported 12 traffic stops.
SUNDAY, MAY 25
• 1:55 p.m. — Police arrested a 22-year-old Philomath woman on a warrant out of Benton County Circuit Court after the individual turned herself in at the police station. The Benton County Jail was closed Sunday and the woman was issued a citation in lieu of custody.
Other calls: Police responses included trespassing at 6:14 a.m. (Main Street) and a neighborhood dispute at 10:39 a.m. (Quail Glenn Drive). PPD reported four traffic stops.
MONDAY, MAY 26
• No calls of significance were reported.
Other calls: Police responses included the delivery of an emergency message at 2:51 p.m. (Newton Street) and a mental health situation at 11:37 p.m. PPD reported 18 traffic stops.
TUESDAY, MAY 27
• 9:12 a.m. — Police took in property that had been found in the 1100 block of Main Street involving a bicycle frame that was leaning on a bench.
• 6:38 p.m. — Police conducted a death investigation in the 1200 block of North 19th Street. The individual appeared to have died from natural causes.
Other calls: Police responses included a city ordinance violation at 8:45 a.m. (Main Street), city ordinance violation at 9:27 a.m. (Main Street), citizen contact at 1:44 p.m. (Main Street) and citizen contact at Philomath Community Library (10:31 p.m.). In addition, police assisted other agencies on calls at 6:32 p.m. (Highway 20 near Blodgett) and 11:11 p.m. (Highway 20 near Blodgett). PPD reported nine traffic stops.
WEDNESDAY, MAY 28
• 1:26 p.m. — Police responded to a report of a hit-and-run in the 400 block of Landmark Drive. The person reporting the incident said there was damage to a Grand Design Imagine travel trailer.
• 4:26 p.m. — Police responded to a report of theft in the 1700 block of Cedar Street. A black Huffy mountain bike valued at $100 was reportedly taken from the front yard of a residence.
Other calls: Police responses included a suspicious vehicle at 1:12 a.m. (Marys River Park and Natural Area), suspicious person at 8:54 a.m. (Main Street), parking complaint at 3:30 p.m. (Landmark Drive) and a city ordinance violation at 5:59 p.m. (Main Street). In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at 7:41 p.m. (Highway 34). PPD reported four traffic stops.
