FRIDAY, AUG. 16
• No calls of significance were reported.
Other calls: Police responses included a non-911 issue at 7:59 a.m. (Main Street), abandoned vehicle at 11:32 a.m. (Newton Street), narcotics offense at 12:11 p.m. (North 15th Street) and an unknown problem at 11:53 p.m. (North 19th Street). In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at 4:52 p.m. (Highway 20/34). PPD reported six traffic stops.
SATURDAY, AUG. 17
• No calls of significance were reported.
Other calls: Police responses included a child welfare referral at 1:07 a.m., trespassing at 2:38 a.m. (Pioneer Street), suspicious circumstances at 9:09 a.m. (Applegate Street) and a dog barking at 6:06 p.m. (North 14th Street), In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at 4:20 a.m. (Fern Road). PPD reported no traffic stops.
SUNDAY, AUG. 18
• No calls of significance were reported.
Other calls: Police responses included contact with a citizen at 4:31 p.m. (Main Street). PPD reported two traffic stops.
MONDAY, AUG. 19
• 4:12 p.m. — Police responded to a crash on Main Street and Green Street involving a boat trailer that broke away from a vehicle with the boat ending up on a sidewalk. See separate story.
• 5:34 p.m. — Police responded to a crash at Main Street and North 12th Street. No injuries were reported.
Other calls: Police responses included a suspicious vehicle at 9:53 a.m. (Benton View Drive) and event detail at 12:25 p.m. (South 19th Street). PPD reported no traffic stops.
TUESDAY, AUG. 20
• 1:01 p.m. — Police responded to a crash in the 1800 block of Main Street. No injuries were reported.
• 1:08 p.m. — Police arrested a 50-year-old Philomath man on a charge of violation of a restraining order and a court-issued stalking protection order.
• 3:18 p.m. — Police responded to an incident at a local gas station involving a driver who left with a fuel hose attached to his tank. A quick disconnect feature on the hose worked properly and disconnected from the pump. No injuries were reported.
• 3:42 p.m. — Police responded to a double fatality head-on collision on Highway 20 about 2 miles east of Blodgett. See separate story.
Other calls: Police responses included a report of theft at 8:38 a.m. (North 19th Street), welfare check at 10:53 a.m. (Neabeack Hill Drive), event detail at 12:10 p.m. (South 19th Street) and a traffic hazard at 4:05 p.m. (Main Street). In addition, police assisted another agency at 9:11 a.m. (Main Street). PPD reported one traffic stop.
WEDNESDAY, AUG. 21
• 11:42 a.m. — Police responded to a crash at North 15th Street and Pioneer Street. No injuries were reported.
• Time NA — Police arrested a 27-year-old woman (city of residence not reported) on a misdemeanor charge of shoplifting from a report made Aug. 4 in the 600 block of Main Street.
• Time NA — Police arrested a 52-year-old man (city of residence not reported) on a misdemeanor charge of theft of services from a report of theft made June 25 in the 1700 block of Main Street.
Other calls: Police responses included a non-911 issue at 11:11 a.m. (Newton Place) and an event detail at 1:01 p.m. (South 19th Street). In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at 3:27 p.m. (Fern Road). PPD reported one traffic stop.
THURSDAY, AUG. 22
• 9:55 p.m. — Police arrested a 31-year-old man (city of residence not reported) in the 900 block of Main Street on a warrant for contempt of court.
• 11:19 p.m. — Police arrested a 24-year-old woman (city of residence not reported) in the 100 block of North Eighth Street on a warrant for contempt of court.
• Time NA — Police arrested a 15-year-old boy in Waldport on a felony charge of first-degree sex abuse out of a report made April 16.
Other calls: Police responses included a bike found outside of a residence at 11:59 a.m. (North 14th Street and College Street), event detail at 12:34 p.m. (South 19th Street) and citizen assistance at 5:02 p.m. (Main Street). PPD reported three traffic stops.

THURSDAY, AUG. 15
• 3:42 p.m. — Police arrested a 36-year-old woman (city of residence not reported) in the 2300 block of Main Street on a warrant for failure to appear in court.
• 7:52 p.m. — Police arrested a 24-year-old Corvallis man in the 300 block of South 11th Street on a warrant for failure to appear in court on a criminal citation. The man was cited and released with the jail full.
