DAILY REPORTS
FRIDAY, APRIL 26
• 10:56 p.m. — Police arrested a 23-year-old Corvallis woman on a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants (alcohol .15 through .19) during a traffic stop in the 1700 block of Main Street.
Other calls: Police responses included a welfare check at 8:29 p.m. (Willowbrook Drive) and a welfare check at 10:52 p.m. (South 17th Street and Applegate Street). PPD reported two traffic stops.
SATURDAY, APRIL 27
• 11:31 a.m. — Police responded to a report of a scam involving an individual on Newton Street. The man had made a purchase from Amazon and, believing he had been double-charged for merchandise, called a number that he found during an online search. During the phone call, he was instructed to take a photo of his driver’s license, send it and then call another number. At this point, a scam was suspected and police contacted out of concern that he could be a victim of fraud in the future. A case number was assigned and the man was instructed to contact a credit bureau for a fraud alert on his accounts.
• 9:43 p.m. — Police assisted the Benton County Sheriff’s Office in a response to a report of a hit-and-run at Highway 99W and Alpine Cutoff Road in Monroe.
Other calls: Police responses included a person assist at 8:39 a.m. (North 16th Lane), argument at 11:43 a.m. (North 16th Lane) and disorderly conduct at 11:59 a.m. (North 15th Street). PPD reported one traffic stop.
SUNDAY, APRIL 28
• 2:11 a.m. — Police assisted the Benton County Sheriff’s Office on a crash at Highway 20 and Kings Valley Highway. No other information was available.
• 9:37 p.m. — Police responded to a report of a cougar sighting in the 600 block of Main Street.
Other calls: Police responses included a suspicious vehicle at 1:58 a.m. (South Ninth Street), barking dog at 8:45 p.m. (South 16th Street) and bike traffic at 11:39 p.m. (Main Street and South 26th Street). PPD reported five traffic stops.
MONDAY, APRIL 29
• 3:01 a.m. — Police responded to a cougar sighting in the 600 block of Main Street.
• 10 a.m. — Police responded to a report of illegal camping in the 300 block of North 14th Street.
• 3:33 p.m. — Police responded to a cougar sighting in the 500 block of Main Street.
• 4:58 p.m. — Police responded to an incident involving second-degree criminal mischief with crime damage in the area of South 15th Street and Applegate Street. No other details were made available other than a report was taken and assigned a case number.
Other calls: Police responses included a traffic hazard at 10:10 p.m. (Main Street and South 24th Street) and citizen contact at 10:21 p.m. (South 11th Street). PPD reported six traffic stops.
TUESDAY, APRIL 30
• 8:38 p.m. — A 32-year-old Corvallis woman was arrested on misdemeanor charges of menacing constituting domestic violence and harassment following an incident at a Corvallis residence.
Other calls: Police responses included a noncriminal issue at 7:49 p.m. (Main Street). PPD reported two traffic stops.
WEDNESDAY, MAY 1
• 11:29 a.m. — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of College Street and North 13th Street that also involved a parked car. Two individuals were transported to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis with nonlife-threatening injuries. For more information, see an entry in the Philomath Fire and Rescue log.
Other calls: Police responses included a traffic complaint at 2:30 p.m. (Chapel Drive and Willowbrook Drive) and person assist at 7:34 p.m. (North 13th Street and College Street). In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at 9:20 p.m. (North Ninth Street). PPD reported one traffic stop.
THURSDAY, MAY 2
• No calls of significance were reported.
Other calls: Police responses included a noise disturbance at 12:09 a.m. (South 11th Street and Applegate Street), welfare check at 11:14 a.m. (Maple Street), threats made at 2:06 p.m. (Pioneer Street), person assist at 8:27 p.m. (address not given) and citizen contact at 9:57 p.m. (Main Street and North 15th Street). In addition, police assisted another agency at 9:58 a.m. (North 14th Street). PPD reported one traffic stop.
FOLLOW-UP REPORTS
SATURDAY, APRIL 20
• 9:44 a.m. — Police responded to a report of a hit-and-run at Main Street and North 15th Street. Police reported that both drivers called dispatch to report the accident but stopped in different locations. Following an investigation, police determined that the driver at fault did not yield to a vehicle that had the right-of-way.
SUNDAY, APRIL 21
• 3:13 a.m. — Police arrested a 21-year-old Philomath woman in the 1200 block of Main Street on a bench warrant for failure to appear.
THURSDAY, APRIL 25
• 12:48 p.m. — Police responded to a report of a hit-and-run in the parking lot of Philomath High School involving a student’s parked vehicle that was damaged. An investigation determined that another student had hit the vehicle. The two individuals exchanged information.
