The Philomath Park Advisory Board will hold its first meeting of 2026 at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall for an agenda that includes electing new officers and selecting bands for this summer’s Music in the Park concert series.

The board had planned to choose bands at a Feb. 3 meeting but it was canceled. Music in the Park, which made its debut in 2016, will kick off the season in May with a concert by high school students. Other concerts will follow beginning at the end of June.

According to the February meeting agenda, the board had received 15 band applications for this year’s series. Board members previously completed a survey to evaluate the applications and Tuesday’s meeting will be their opportunity to review results and settle on a recommended lineup.

Also at the meeting, the board will elect a chair and vice chair. The outgoing chair will open the floor for nominations, and if only one nominee comes forward for each position, the board can approve them by voice vote. Multiple nominees would trigger a written ballot process.

In addition to attending the meeting in person, the proceedings can also be viewed on the city’s YouTube channel.
