Correction, December 16, 2025 4:24 pm: A previous version of this story had the incorrect start time of the parade. It begins at 6 p.m.
Philomath’s third annual Parade of Lights will brighten neighborhood streets on Saturday, Dec. 20, beginning at 6 p.m., and organizers are accepting registrations through Dec. 19 for floats and displays.
Participants will gather near Philomath Middle School before the parade travels west on Applegate Street, south on South 15th Street, west on Cedar Street, and across Fern Road to the rodeo grounds.
Community members are encouraged to bring chairs and umbrellas and line the streets to watch the festivities. The parade will proceed rain or shine.
Judging begins at 5:15 p.m., so participants should plan to arrive early and be in position by 5 p.m. Float entries may distribute candy and other items to spectators by hand only — throwing items is not permitted.
Those interested in participating or with questions can contact City Manager Chris Workman at 541-929-6148 or via email. To register for the parade, click here.
