A free family event, “Museum Kids! Shapes and Stitches,” will be offered Saturday, Oct. 5, at Philomath Museum.
Organizers said attendees will learn about quilts through history and the event, which begins at 10 a.m. in the Moreland Gallery, will include hands-on craft stations for kids. Participants can design a pattern, try their hand at sewing or make a yarn character.
The program will also feature a live demonstration of hand-quilting by the Marys River Quilt Guild.
The Benton County Historical Society requests that those planning to attend RSVP through online registration.
