A 27-year-old Philomath man died in a single-vehicle crash west of Madras Saturday night, KTVZ reported on its website.
According to Jefferson County Sheriff Jason Pollock, Caleb Rowland-Barnes failed to negotiate a sharp turn at a high speed in a Ford F-250 diesel pickup and crashed into a rock wall.
Deputies were dispatched to the scene just after 11 p.m. to Southwest Belmont Lane on the west side of Dry Canyon, Pollock told the TV station. Barnes was the only occupant of the vehicle.
