Philomath Community Library patrons have a chance to see their artwork printed on an official library card through a Corvallis-Benton County Public Library contest running through Oct. 10.
The Library Card Design Contest is tied to Library Card Sign-Up Month. Library staff will select one winning design in each of three age categories: youth (up to fifth grade), teen (sixth through 12th grade) and adult (18 and older). Only one submission is allowed per person.
Anyone who lives within the library’s service district — including Philomath — or holds a current Corvallis-Benton County Public Library card may enter. Digital art, traditional media such as drawings, paintings and prints, and photography will all be accepted.
Entries can be uploaded at cbcpl.net/design or dropped off at the Philomath Community Library or any other branch. Paper submission forms are also available at library locations.
Designs should be submitted at 6.75 by 4.25 inches, or the same ratio, with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi for photos or digital work. Artwork must be the entrant’s own, free of copyrighted material and not created using artificial intelligence. The library noted that submissions may be resized or reformatted for printing and could also appear in library social media posts and other marketing.
