The Philomath High School girls basketball program will host a three-day youth skills camp for girls entering third through eighth grade next school year.

The Future Warriors camp runs June 16-18 from 9 a.m. to noon in the Philomath High School gymnasiums. High school coaches and players will run the sessions, which will be divided by age and skill level across the two gyms.

The camp will emphasize dribbling, shooting, passing, rebounding, defense and team play, organizers said. A sample daily schedule includes warmups, ball-handling fundamentals, station work, individual contests and team competitions.

Cost is $75 for pre-registration by June 9 or $100 the day of the event. Registration includes daily snacks and a T-shirt. Checks should be made payable to PHS Girls Basketball. (T-shirts are guaranteed only for those who register by June 9).

Participants should bring clean basketball shoes, athletic shorts, a T-shirt and a water bottle.

Registration forms are available at the Philomath Middle School and Philomath Elementary School offices, and online through a QR code included on the camp flyer (scroll down to third page). Questions can be directed to coach Ben Silva at ben.silva@philomath.k12.or.us.
