The Philomath Fire and Rescue Board of Directors will consider a resolution to formally impose the district’s property tax levy for the 2026-27 tax year when it meets at 3 p.m. Monday at Station 201.
Resolution No. 26-07 would set the permanent rate tax at $1.5080 per $1,000 of assessed value and impose $208,008 for debt service on general obligation bonds. The meeting agenda also lists a delinquency factor of $13,608 tied to the levy resolution, though the mechanics of that figure aren’t detailed in the meeting packet. Voters approved the district’s levy measure in the May primary.
The board will also take up two reserve fund items — a resolution on equipment reserves and a reaffirmation of reserve funds covering both vehicles and buildings.
Other new business on the agenda includes updates to job descriptions and a review of surplus items.
Under old business, the board will hear a district liaison report and an update on the Chief 360 Survey along with a report on a property annexation.
Routine tasks include the board’s review of its calendar and listening to reports from the fire chief, operations chief and office administrator. Representatives from the Philomath Volunteer Association, the firefighters union and the City Council’s liaison are also scheduled for reports.
The Aug. 10 meeting can be attended in person at 1035 Main St., or via Zoom (Meeting ID: 857 8949 8234, Passcode: 860360).
