The Philomath Fire and Rescue Board of Directors will meet at 3 p.m. Monday, May 11, at Station 201 for a budget hearing and regular meeting.

Published agendas show the start time for both the public hearing and the regular meeting as 3 p.m. At the hearing, time will be set aside for the public to provide input on the fire district’s proposed 2026-27 budget totaling just under $3.4 million. Following the hearing, the board will likely take a vote on resolutions to adopt the budget and levy taxes.

At the regular meeting, nothing is listed under new business on the agenda. An update on the district’s efforts related to a proposed local option levy could be a topic. Several reports are scheduled to be presented, including those from board members, Fire Chief Chancy Ferguson, Operations Chief Dan Eddy and office administrator Ashley Scott. Representatives from the Philomath Volunteer Association, the firefighters union and the City Council’s liaison are also scheduled for reports.

The meeting can be attended in person at 1035 Main St., or via Zoom (Meeting ID: 857 8949 8234, Passcode: 860360).
