The Philomath Farmers’ Market returns for its third summer this weekend to kick off a run of 20 Sundays in the local library parking lot where folks can buy fresh produce and various other products.
The market’s hours were adjusted to run from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., which is two hours earlier than last year. The library is located at 1050 Applegate St.
The market accepts SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) cards and eligible vendors also accept Women, Infants and Children (WIC) food vouchers and Oregon Farm Direct Nutrition Program coupons.
The market, which operates under the nonprofit organization Bountiful Backyard, brings back Janel Lajoie for a second year to serve as manager. Earlier this spring, the market earned the 2021 Outstanding Small Market award from the Oregon Farmers Markets Association.
