Philomath Community Foundation awarded eight scholarships to 16 graduating seniors from the Class of 2024, the nonprofit organization announced.

The foundation has been granting scholarships and awards to students graduating from the local school district for over 26 years.

“We at Philomath Community Foundation were impressed by the quality of the Philomath School District applicants and look forward to seeing and hearing about great accomplishments by these students,” Linda Howard, Philomath Community Foundation Board of Directors vice president, said after announcing this year’s recipients at the Philomath High School convocation on June 5.

This year’s scholarship recipients:

  • Adjust Your Sails Scholarship — Nicholas Purcell
  • Cody James Patterson Memorial Scholarship — Alexa Eckhold, Hayden Fuller, Simon King, Mason Stearns
  • Philomath Public Schools Scholarship — Clara Stanley, Ava Theurer
  • Russ Hunt Memorial Scholarship — Caleb Garcia, Case Hoch
  • Philomath Community Foundation Youth Recognition Award — Phoebe Coen, Emma Maxey
  • STEM+ Scholarship — Bailey Bell
  • STEM Scholarship — Riven Benson, Lukas Dunn
  • Terry Selby Memorial Scholarship — Jacob Peters, Caroline Pucket

The organization announced the applications for 2025 will be available starting Jan. 1.
