The Philomath City Council will sit down at the table on Monday to a full agenda, including two public hearings and two executive sessions. The regular meeting is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Nov. 14 at City Hall.

One of the public hearings involves a proposed city code amendment related to material standards and Class B variance while the other is a proposed amendment to the city’s comprehensive plan in the chapter on urbanization.

New business on the agenda includes a design review of the Paul J. Cochran Veterans Memorial Park and a policy discussion on the use of nonremonstrance agreements. The council will also vote on an ordinance to amend a municipal code article on flood damage prevention.

The council will also revisit a franchise agreement with Alyrica Networks with discussion and possible vote on a related ordinance.

The meeting will include various reports from councilors, boards, commissions, committees, council liaisons and staff.

The council is scheduled to begin and end the evening with executive sessions. The first one begins at 5:30 p.m. and was called “for the purpose of discussing performance evaluations of public officers and employees.” The second session follows the regular meeting to discuss “real property transactions” and “consultation with legal counsel concerning legal rights and duties regarding current litigation or litigation likely to be filed.” Executive sessions are closed to the public.

For those not attending in person at City Hall, the regular meeting will also be livestreamed on the city’s YouTube channel.
