FRIDAY, JAN. 17

• 11:34 a.m. — Troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 22 about 13 miles southeast of Detroit in Linn County that took the life of Theodore Kleinman, 79, of Redmond. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that Kleinman was headed east on Highway 22 when the Cadillac he was driving left the roadway near Minto Road and struck head-on a Ford F-15 driven by a 76-year-old Redmond woman. Both drivers were seriously injured and transported to an area hospital. A 51-year-old passenger in the Ford was transported with non-life-threatening injuries. Kleinman later died at the hospital.

• 5:10 p.m. — Troopers responded to a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 82 in Umatilla County that took the life of Madyson Braelyn Curtis, 20, of Redmond. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that Curtis was on I-82 about 2 miles north of the I-84 interchange when for an unknown reason, the Chevrolet Tahoe she was driving left the roadway and rolled several times and came to a rest in the median. Curtis was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced deceased at the scene.

TUESDAY, JAN. 21

• 8:30 a.m. — Troopers responded to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 224 about 3 miles west of Barton that took the life of Mark Loren McVicker, 64, of Sandy. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that McVicker was driving a Dodge pickup west on the highway when it left the roadway, struck a tree and rolled about 40 feet down a steep embankment on the south side. McVicker was pronounced deceased at the scene.
