THURSDAY, JULY 17
• 4:12 p.m. — Troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 22W at its intersection with Highway 223 near Dallas that took the life of David Peter Jorgensen, 88, of Oak Harbor, Washington. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that Jorgensen was heading north on Highway 223 on a Kawasaki EJ650 motorcycle and had stopped at the intersection. He then attempted to cross Highway 22W and struck the side of a westbound Kenworth log truck, driven by a 60-year-old Sheridan man. Jorgensen was declared deceased at the scene. The truck driver was reportedly not injured.
