TUESDAY, OCT. 8

• 5 p.m. — An Oregon State Police K-9 team seized a large quantity of crystal methamphetamine earlier this week during a traffic stop on Interstate 5 in Linn County.

According to the state law-enforcement agency, a trooper pulled over the vehicle on I-5 for a traffic violation and during the stop recognized signs of possible drug trafficking.

The trooper’s drug detection K-9 was brought to the vehicle and a search revealed 40 pounds of crystal meth in the trunk, OSP reported. Sheyla Jesmely Serrano Lopez, 27, of Shafter, California, was arrested on drug trafficking charges.
