WEDNESDAY, FEB. 12

•5:23 p.m. — Troopers responded to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 35 south of Mount Hood that took the life of Robert A. Brownback, 64, of Hood River. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that Brownback was driving north on Highway 35 in a Subaru Forester when for unknown reasons sped up, swerved across the southbound lane and struck a rock wall. The driver was declared deceased at the scene. OSP reported that he was not believed to be wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

FRIDAY, FEB. 14

• 11:33 a.m. — Troopers responded to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 140 in rural Lake County just north of the Oregon-California border that took the life of Laura Anne Keys, 47, of Grants Pass. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that Keys was driving west on Highway 140 in a Nissan Sentra when for unknown reasons, rolled down a steep embankment coming to rest on its top. Keys was declared deceased at the scene.

SATURDAY, FEB. 15

• 6:45 p.m. — Troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on HIghway 213 about a mile north of Mulino that took the life of Kenneth Jay Isaksen, 35, of Molalla. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that Isaksen was headed north on Highway 213 on a Harley Davidson Low Rider S when for unknown reasons crossed the centerline and struck a southbound Ford Explorer driven by a 15-year-old Molalla boy. Isaksen was declared deceased at the scene. The juvenile and two passengers, a 37-year-old woman and a 7-year-old girl, both of Molalla, reportedly suffered minor injuries and were transported to an area hospital.

TUESDAY, FEB. 18

• 7:52 a.m. — Troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 228 about 3 miles east of Brownsville that took the life of Kylie Rae Campbell, 37, of Sweet Home. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that a 40-year-old Albany woman was driving east in a Chevrolet Silverado and crossed the centerline, striking head-on a Chevrolet Trax driven by Campbell that was traveling in the opposite direction. Campbell was declared deceased at the scene. The Silverado’s driver reportedly suffered minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital.

WEDNESDAY, FEB. 19

• 9:18 a.m. — Troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 99W about 5 miles southwest of Newberg that took the life of Christine Da Ai Yoon, 31, of McMinnville. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that a 28-year-old Woodland, Washington, man was driving south on the highway in a Chevrolet Silverado and attempted to turn left onto Highway 18, entering the path of a Toyota Yaris driven by Yoon, which caused a side-impact collision. Yoon was declared deceased at the scene. The Silverado’s driver reportedly suffered minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital.
