The Oregon Department of Transportation will begin a $6.25 million paving project on a five-mile stretch of Highway 20 east of Eddyville next week, the agency reported.
The paving project will cover the roadway from Cline Hill to Eddyville (milepost 29.4 to 24.4).
“We’re removing and replacing the driving surface and applying new striping,” ODOT said through a release. “We’re also installing rumble strips and sealing bridge surfaces along the route.”
When the work begins, ODOT said motorists should expect nighttime single-lane closures from Sunday to Friday, 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., flaggers and pilot cars helping direct traffic, and delays, debris and construction noise.
The work is expected to be completed by this fall, ODOT added. Dates for the work are subject to change based on weather conditions.
