Walt had a tremendous love for his family. He loved spending his time with them hunting, fishing, camping, playing and watching sports and family gatherings.

Walt worked a lifetime in the timber industry and road construction. He worked in a lumber mill, on the rigging, falling timber, heavy equipment operator, foreman on the highway 20 project, rock crushing and building roads. Whatever he was doing he did with great pride. His final workplace was with Alsea Quarries which he truly loved his job and his work family.

Walt is preceded in death by his infant daughter Kassie and his father Floyd.

Walt is survived by his wife of 40 years Peggy, his son’s and daughter in law’s Wes and Lacey of Philomath and Tim and Stephanie of Eddyville, daughter and son in law Jennifer and Michael of Philomath and 12 amazing grandchildren: Harlee, Sydnee, Tayler, Colten, Walker, Matthew, Kaycee, Timberlyn, Aubrey, Jade, Emilee and Everly. His Mom Francis of Corvallis, sister Gloria (Raymond) of Eddyville, brother Russ (Cindy) of Albany, sister Laura (Ken) of Corvallis and sister Melissa of Albany.

A celebration of life will be held for Walt with a date to be determined.
