
Patricia (Pat) Ramsey was born on July 15, 1936, in Clinton, Minnesota, and peacefully departed this life on Jan. 24, 2024, in Philomath, Oregon, at the age of 87. Known for her quick wit, sarcasm and sassy spunk, Pat’s vibrant personality left an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
In her early 20s, Pat began her professional journey as an operator at Bell telephone company, where she quickly showcased her dedication and work ethic. Over the course of more than 40 years, she climbed the ranks, eventually attaining a managerial position in line assignment at CenturyLink before her well-earned retirement.
Family was at the core of Pat’s world and she held a special place in her heart for her children, Brad Ramsey, Shari Stein and Scott Ramsey, her 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Her loyalty and devotion to her family were unwavering, and she took immense pride in watching her family grow and thrive.
Born to Lola Gines and William Buck, Pat shared her life journey with siblings William (Bill) Buck, Verda Gaye Gillam and Rodney Buck. Pat lost Rodney to a tragic accident when he was just 7 years old. She grew to develop a firm and lifelong relationship with Bill, with Gaye becoming her best and closest friend.
Pat’s legacy extends beyond her professional achievements and sharp sense of humor. She will be remembered for her loyalty, devotion and the genuine love she showered upon those she held dear. As we bid farewell to a remarkable woman, we also celebrate the love, laughter and wisdom she brought into the lives of so many.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to any local hospice center as thanks for the attentive care she received in her final months.
May Pat rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love that she so generously gave throughout her 87 remarkable years. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of sharing in her authentic and sassy spirit.
