Born to Sylvester and Alice Hutley on December 17, 1928 in St. Mary’s, Kansas. She moved to Philomath, Oregon in 1947. Naomi and Calvin were married at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Corvallis in 1948. They enjoyed country music and spending time with family and friends over the years.
She is survived by daughters Judy (Jimmy) House of Canby, OR; Karen (Dennis) Pierce of Dubois, WY; grandsons Bryan Kyllingstad Ogden of Bali, Indonesia; Ston (Jenny) McDaniel of Dubois, WY; step-granddaughters Angie (Steven) Dixon of Albany, OR, and Brenna Beck of Salem; siblings Bob (Marion) Hutley of Lebanon, OR; Doris (Dale) Ward of Philomath; Diane (Wes) Patterson of Colton, WA; several great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Ames, in 1984; siblings Jim, Duane and Roy Hutley, sister, Betty Trask, and granddaughter, Melissa.
A Memorial Mass is scheduled for June 13 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 501 NW 25th St., Corvallis.
