Lucille passed away on Jan. 4, 2024, at her home in Philomath.

Born on Feb. 20, 1941, to Harvey Weed and Myrtle Van Epps Weed, she attended Crawford Grade School and graduated from Sweet Home High School in 1959. Lucille married William R. Richardson, with whom she moved to Madras, Oregon, and together they had four children. She later married Pete Pena, settling down in Philomath.

She is survived by her four children: Wynda Richardson of Colorado; Winnie Richardson of Philomath; Wesley Richardson and his wife, Abby, of Falls City; and Wanita Richardson and her husband, Brandon, of Montana. Lucille also leaves behind her sister, Martha Mickenham and her husband, George, of Philomath, as well as 14 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her parents, sisters, Jeanie Weed Holdorf and Edith Weed Edge, and her brother, Alvin Weed.

Lucille led a life of simplicity, always understanding what was important. During her years working in the Philomath mills, she was recognized as a hard worker. In retirement, she devoted her time to serving the Lord, gardening, caring for the farm, and taking care of her friends and family. Lucille is loved and will be missed.
