Lloyd Eugene Simpson, 84, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, Aug. 18. He was born on March 10, 1941, in Blue Mound, Kansas, to Joseph Lee and Rhoda Rosier Simpson.

At a young age, the family moved to Eden, Idaho. Lloyd later moved to the Wren-Philomath area where he lived for more than 60 years. Lloyd served in the U.S. Army (1959-61). He worked in lumber mills his entire life, retiring in 2006.
Lloyd is survived by his beloved wife, Dianne, of 41-plus years; and children, Rick (Tami) Simpson, Rita (Allan) Fillmore and Kellie Simpson — all of Albany; Tammi (Craig) McNeal of Elgin; and Nick (Kim) Webster of Philomath; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his three siblings.
