Keith was born at the family farm, south of Philomath at Llewellyn and Peterson roads to Earl Ray and Ethel (Worthington) Boggs.

He worked the family farms with his uncles, Slim and Whitey Boggs, and his father, Earl, during his youth, learning many lifelong skills. He attended Corvallis High School, graduating in 1946.
Keith was drafted into the United States Army in 1951 and soon found himself in Korea. He served in the 40th Division of Artillery during the Korean War, achieving the rank of Master Sergeant. He was honorably discharged.
Upon returning to Philomath after the war, Keith began working for Hathaway & Meier Service Garage from 1953-1959. He then worked for Denny Nusbaum at The Service Garage from 1959-1961, when he moved over to Corvallis Auto Parts, working as a machinist until his retirement in 1990.
Keith married Darlene Clark Rayburn in January 1962 and the family moved into their house on 13th and Chapel. He resided in Philomath until his move into assisted living in 2020.
Keith was a volunteer fireman with the Philomath Fire Department for 24 years. He served as assistant fire chief under Bob Morgan before a brief stint as Fire Chief.
Keith was an avid bowler who served as the Corvallis Bowling Association’s secretary for many years. He spent most of his time at Beaver Bowl, but he did work as a pinsetter when the bowling alley was downtown in the 1940s and early ’50s. He is a member of the Corvallis Bowling Association Hall of Fame. He also enjoyed golfing at Marysville Golf Course, rock hounding with his brother, Monte, working in his garden, grafting fruit trees, growing beautiful roses and playing pool. Keith was a talented woodworker and could fix just about anything.
Ever the jokester, Keith loved to prank unsuspecting victims. He could engineer a way to shock people with his sense of humor.
Keith was a diehard Philomath Warrior fan who could often be seen at PHS baseball and football games to support his Warriors!
Keith was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Darlene, brother Monte, son Terry Boggs, daughter Vicky Rayburn Wilkinson, son Randy Rayburn and great grandson Terrell Flowers.
Keith is survived by his son Steve Boggs (Jan), son-in-law Bob Wilkinson, grandsons Alan Wilkinson (Heather) and Kyle Boggs (Heather), granddaughters Terra Wilkinson Flowers and Jennifer Boggs Thrasher, 13 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
