
Karen Randall, 71, passed away from natural causes in her home in Wren. She lived her life purposefully and followed her passions.
She received her master’s degree from Oregon State University and she worked at the JANUS House in Corvallis. She also had a lifelong love of learning and studied animal science and pursued pre-veterinary coursework. She trained and worked as a farrier in the Willamette Valley and the Coast Range. She loved horses and bred Arabians/Welsh cobs.
She had a flock of sheep and made wool hats and blankets. She loved her animals.
Karen was also active in the Summit community, heading up an annual highway cleanup project.
She is survived by her cousin, Gail Brown .
A Celebration of Life will be held at Summit Community Hall Sunday, March 17 at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, tributes should be donated to either JANUS House or Feral Cat Coalition of Oregon FCCO.
Karen was laid to rest peacefully at Wren Cemetery with the assistance of McHenry Funeral Home of Corvallis.
