
Heather Angela Leonard went home to be with Jesus on Aug. 26, 2024, at age 48.
Heather was born to Brian Humphreys and the late Geraldine Holt on Dec. 31, 1975, in Salem, Oregon. As a child, Heather loved to visit the Enchanted Forest, play the piano and go on Sunday beach trips with the family.
Heather graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Oregon State University. She continued her education by attending medical school at the University of Iowa, where she received her doctorate in medicine. She practiced as an internal medicine physician.
Heather met her husband, Jason, in 1997 at Oregon State University. They married on Aug. 11, 2001, and are blessed with two children, Andrew and Sara. In addition to being a loving mother and wife, Heather also loved hosting parties and bible studies, shopping and traveling.
She was active in her church and local community in many ways, including serving on the board of Child Evangelism Fellowship. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God. From a young age, she loved to share the gospel and spread the love of Jesus.
She is survived by her husband, Jason, and her two children, Andrew and Sara.
There will be a memorial service at the Suburban Christian Church, 2760 SW 53rd St., Corvallis, OR, 97333, on Sunday, Sept. 8, at 4 p.m.
