Eleanor Mae Lorshbaugh
Aug. 24, 1930 – Dec. 19, 2021

Eleanor “Ellie” Mae Lorshbaugh was born in Winnemucca, Nevada, on Aug. 24, 1930. She passed away Dec. 19, 2021, at her home in Philomath. She was 91.

Her family moved around often as her father worked the railroad. They landed in Jefferson, Oregon, where she graduated from high school. The family then moved out to Hoskins where she would end up meeting her first husband Charles (Buster) Dickason. Buster was in the Army, so early life was moving to places such as Alaska and Washington. When he left the army, they settled back in Hoskins where she stayed home raising their six children (five boys and one girl). Buster passed away in 1983.

She married Maurice (Mac) Lorshbaugh a few years later and continued to live in Hoskins. He passed away in 1993.

She did work in home care helping elderly with their daily living and enjoyed this very much until her retirement.

Ellie loved her children. She loved to travel and was able to make multiple trips back to Nevada, went to Mexico and Hawaii. She was very artistic and had a passion for oil painting. She enjoyed her flowers and gardening. She loved her animals and was known to take in strays.

We will miss her humor, her strength of getting through tough times and we will just miss her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Edith Williams; siblings, Austin (Bus) Williams and Dennis Williams; husbands: Charles W. (Buster) Dickason and Maurice Lorshbaugh; and a son, Raymond Dickason.

She is survived by her sister, Geneva Hazelton; children, Russell (Mae) Dickason, Charles (Samantha) Dickason, Calvin Dickason, Darryl Dickason, Diane Dickason Irgang and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and also her special “doggies” — Sabastian, Schmitty, Bear, Hettie and Kinsey.

A service will be held at a later date.
