Duane C. White March 8, 1932 – June 2, 2021 |

Duane C. White passed away peacefully in his home Wednesday, June 2nd 2021 at the age of 89.
He was born in Glenwood, Oregon on March 8th, 1932 to Jomie C. White and Ruby R. White (Latimer). Duane went to school in Cherry Grove, Oregon until enlisting in the Navy at age 17. At age 20 while at home on leave, he married Martha L. White in Stevenson, Washington April 14th, 1953. They had two children, Vanessa White and Denise White.
After his Navy service, Duane and his wife went on to own several businesses, including Over the Hill Trucking, and Snookers Drive-in where they were loved community members. Duane enjoyed traveling, casinos, rock hunting and making and selling jewelry. He was also known for making people laugh with his witty personality and teasing. He was a gifted storyteller, and will be missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his daughters Vanessa Marrs, and Denise Vogt, both of Philomath Oregon; sister Tammy Linberg of Alsea, Oregon; seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. A private celebration of life will be held June 12th starting at 1 p.m. at the Philomath Scout Lodge.
