Good morning, Philomath.

Philomath High’s track and field teams head into the season with a lot of promise and we have a preview. The city will stage a tree-planting ceremony tomorrow morning in front of the library at the site of the lost Heritage Tree. The latest BCSO Log reports on various incidents and arrests. The Rotary Club has a meeting coming up Tuesday. The girls tennis team lost on a tiebreaker at Valley Catholic while the boys looked strong at singles in a home appearance. In partner content, the Oregon Journalism Project has a piece on the cost of the state’s Climate Protection Program. — Brad Fuqua, Publisher/Editor
