VOLUME 7, NUMBER 53
Saturday, March 7, 2026

Good morning, Philomath.

In this weekend’s Three Things column, I wrote about the city’s transportation safety survey, Miller Timber article and the scenic byway. Philomath High’s boys basketball team lost last night at St. Helens in a 4A playoff game. We have a preview on Monday’s City Council meeting, which includes discussion on a proposed city services fee. The fire district board will also be meeting on Monday. The latest OSP Log has a single entry about a motorcycle fatality. Today’s partner content includes an Oregon Journalism Project piece on Oregon’s sports betting “F” and Oregon Capital Chronicle has stories on passage of a bill to round pennies for cash purchases and the legislative session wrapping up. — Brad Fuqua, Publisher/Editor
