Good morning, Philomath.
A couple of hours before entering the arena, this year’s Frolic and Rodeo clown — Kyle Bounds of Harrisburg — talked to me about his new rodeo identity after stepping away from bareback riding. Philomath High’s summer baseball program is winding down and I talked to coach Levi Webber about what it means for player development. Philomath Fire and Rescue’s board will meet this coming Monday. Logging in eastern Oregon’s forests could triple in the next decade. The Frolic and Rodeo continues today and Saturday with evening rodeo performances, tomorrow’s parade and other activities — here’s a preview story that published earlier in the week.
