Good morning, Philomath.

Well, the Philomath High football team had a rough opener last night at Stayton but there were still some pretty explosive plays for the Warriors. Coverage includes a story, stats and a photo gallery. In this weekend’s Three Things column, I wrote about school safety, “Tree Man” Dick Powell and a local wrestler with an impressive ranking. We also have a report on the season-opening appearances by the PHS boys and girls cross-country teams. — Brad Fuqua, Publisher/Editor
