Editor’s note: A death certificate shows that Velma Tripp was born in California and was age 26 years, 2 months and 29 days at the time of death. The cause of death was listed as pulmonary tuberculosis. There is inconsistency with the spelling of her first name — Velma on her grave marker and Valma on her death certificate.
